JIM BUTNER AUTO & RV INC. AWARDED 2006 JOE KRIER INDIANA QUALITY DEALER OF THE YEAR
The Indiana Independent Automobile Dealers Association is proud to announce Jim Butner Auto & RV Inc. of Clarksville as our 2006 Joe Krier Quality Dealer of the Year. This award was presented to James E. Butner Jr. at the association's annual golf outing and awards day which was held on September 10th at Ironwood Golf Club in Fishers. The Quality Dealer of the Year is chosen based on several attributes. The dealership must be consumer oriented, and the dealer must have a record of good business decisions based on honesty and integrity. Also, the dealership must represent themselves as a civic leader within the community. Jim Butner Auto & RV Inc. represents all of these attributes.

Jim Butner Auto was established in April of 1955 by Jim and his late father, in New Albany, Indiana. Starting with five cars, a strong work ethic, and a little wooden shed-the business has grown to include an inventory of 300 vehicles, 20 employees and a two story brick building with a concrete lot. Jim Butner has provided transportation for many people who would otherwise not have been able to purchase a vehicle through special financing. As an individual, Jim Butner strives to help the less fortunate and supports his church, community, and schools. His work ethic and positive leadership have been instrumental to the dealership's success.

Jim Butner Auto & RV Inc. will represent Indiana at the National Independent Automobile Dealers Association Convention in Nashville, June 2007. They will compete with Quality Dealers from other states in the National Quality Dealer Award Program. The primary purpose of the Indiana Independent Automobile Dealers Association is to address legal and legislative issues that confront the used car industry and to promote the businesses of its members while serving the public interest. The Indiana Independent Automobile Dealers Association has supported independent used car dealers in Indiana for more than 18 years. The association is proud to have Jim Butner Auto & RV Inc. as this year's "Quality Dealer of the Year."
