AWARDED 2009 JOE KRIER INDIANA QUALITY DEALER OF THE YEAR
The Indiana Independent Automobile Dealers Association is proud to announce BEST DEAL AUTO SALES of Fort Wayne as our 2009 Joe Krier Quality Dealer of the Year. This award was presented to David Baldwin at the association’s annual golf outing and awards day which was held on September 13th at Ironwood Golf Club in Fishers. The Quality Dealer of the Year is chosen based on several attributes. The dealership must be consumer oriented, and the dealer must have a record of good business decisions based on honesty and integrity. Also, the dealership must represent themselves as a civic leader within the community. Best Deal Auto Sales represents all of these attributes.
Celebrating their 10 year anniversary, Best Deal Auto Sales has grown from one car lot with seven cars to 4 locations with over 300 vehicles. Their businesses are located in Auburn, Warsaw, and a second Fort Wayne lot featuring imported cars is across the street from the original lot on Goshen Road. In January 2008, a service garage was opened next to “The Import Store.” Dave acknowledges their great employees and friends for making Best Deal Auto Sales the successful car store they are.
Best Deal Auto Sales truly is a family business. The Baldwin’s oldest son, David II, ran the original store with his father and over the years their other three sons, Brian, Just and Travis joined the business. All of the Baldwin’s daughter-in laws are also involved in the business, a testimony to a true family business. Best Deal Auto Sales was opened with the goal of selling quality pre-owned vehicles at wholesale prices, which they have been doing successfully for the past 10 years. The “BEST DEAL Price” is on the window of every vehicle so that their customers know up front what the actual price of the vehicle is. Bladwin’s business philosophy is simple and straight forward. “Of all the different car dealers in the area, for me, it’s just the way we conduct business. Being honest and straight forward with everybody we talk to-I think that’s what makes us who we are. There are a lot of gimmicks in the car business, and we don’t do any of them.” Baldwin said.
Dave Baldwin is a community and civic leader. He has served as President of the Jackson Township Athletic Association and supports local baseball and softball teams. He is also involved with the Muscular Dystrophy Association and the local Humane Shelter.
Best Deal Auto Sales will represent Indiana at the National Independent Automobile Dealers Association Convention in Las Vegas, June 2010. They will compete with Quality Dealers from other states in the National Quality Dealer Award Program. The primary purpose of the Indiana Independent Automobile Dealers Association is to address legal and legislative issues that confront the used car industry and to promote the businesses of its members while serving the public interest. The Indiana Independent Automobile Dealers Association has supported independent used car dealers in Indiana for more than 22 years. The association is proud to have Best Deal Auto Sales as this year’s “Quality Dealer of the Year.”
